The $59.99 DMC5 starts in media res, where every major hero in the series gets molly-whopped by the demon king Urizen. Action game fans, be they fans of the series or not, should give it a spin: Devil May Cry 5 is a fantastic PC game. However, the flaws are minor compared with what the game has to offer. There are a few hiccups here and there: I found newcomer V to be somewhat clunky to use, and the demon tree environment is used a touch too liberally for my liking. The visuals, despite being overly realistic compared with the more anime-esque designs in earlier games, are astoundingly detailed and beautiful to look at in action. All systems have been rebalanced and streamlined, making them easy to grasp yet challenging to apply in practice and to master.
